1954 S/W A10 RGS look a like'ish
« on: 22.08. 2013 17:30 »
May consider looking for something with an electric start if my back stays as it is. I would like a Harley of any size that is on the road or something else 650cc or over. I have spent a small fortune on my A10, too much to list today. I can prepare a list when the wife is not about, photo etc can be emailed. It is one of those RGS look a like machines. in excess of £4,000 cash either way. I am in Essex
Mine has single sided hubs. Taxed and on the road, 28 miles since rebuild, good starter.
Viewing no problem for genuine private BSA gents.
Please PM

Colin

Colin,

Does this mean we will be saying goodbye? If so, you will be missed. You have shown generosity here that has been appreciated (off-hand, I remember a seat pan and the current offer of gasket material).

Let us know what you get and post some pictures of it here. One way to stay topical is to coninuously tell us how much better or worse your new ride is compaired to the A10.

That's sad to hear Colin. Have you considered a button start for her ( http://www.a7a10.net/forum/index.php?topic=1468.0 ) ? A pitty to have spent all that time and money to let her go without enjoying her for a while.
I too have a bung back (L4/L5 and L5/S1 blowouts) and know what it's like. Just coming good now after 2 weeks of not being able to kick'em over. I find it hard to move my CB1100 around so I don't think you'll have much joy with a HD.
As Richard says you'll be missed so stay connected to the forum. You would have knowledge that can be past on to others, and that is what the forum is about.
Cheers

You've probably done so but I'd look at the cost of changing to HD versus the cost of Steve's electric start for A10/7.

In any event - you could stay here and contribute in some way I'm sure
