New acquisition!
« on: 08.11. 2013 09:07 »
All through this last year I've been happily collecting bits for the RGS replica I'm building but thinking how nice it would be to actually have a running A10 to ride! So, I resolved to buy a complete bike this winter and yesterday bought this one....
Its one of lifes funny coincidences because whilst working as a mechanic back in the 80's I came across some new old stock parts for a Spitfire scrambler (from, I think, Honor Oak motorcycles) and built my own replica using a 1957 Flash....I only rode it once or twice because it was parked outside the shop, a customer saw it and made an offer I couldn't refuse within a week of finishing it....now I've got another one!
This one has been done far better than I managed at the time and as far as I've seen so far needs nothing doing at all....

Well done mate. It will give you a boost in getting the other one finished. Luv the pipes.

Yes....I didn't need much convincing to buy it anyway but the pipes definitely helped....whoever made them did a lovely job in stainless...The one I built years ago had the twin pipes...no silencers...and no space to fit the toolbox....

Very nice. You'll be needing another one, surely. One on, one clean and one in the wash isn't it?
