"Greetings all " from UK newby.
« on: 23.07. 2013 01:01 »
Hi, one & all .      Here is my opening shot. ( I promise it will not hurt). on this excellent forum.

I am a 66 year old retired engineer with a reborn interest in motorcycles.
As a teanager I rode Norton and Ducati, then things got in the way. (as they do !)  46 years later and the horses are back in the stable.
Current occupants are;-
'98 BMW 1100 RT ( seems to be getting heavier these days !??? *conf*)
'59 BSA A10 S Rocket engined G Flash, ( thinks its an RGS )  *smile* ( More of the 'Monster later !)
'88 Honda Hawk/Bros (650) Fully stripped, refinishing under-way.
''04 Honda VFR 800 V Tec. ( the young pretender and regular 'hack' )

Be in touch ,
Pete

G'day Pete, welcome to the forum.
Hope you don't mind, I had to move this post.
Your avatar would suggest your an IOM fan. Me two. I've got all the races since '85 on DVD.
46 years is a long time out of the saddle, but you've got enough toys to make up.
Cheers

Muskrat, you have great taste in DVD's !   Ive been fortunate to have attended the last 3 TT's and the iconic Hailwood/Agostini battle os '67 you should take the trip someday.
Bill, if 'Good' equates to 'temperamental *******', then you'r 'spot-on' sir.-------Like any highly strung, well hung thoroughbred,  I guess the pleasure will be all the more intense for the anticipation. ;)

Hay-Ho !

Nice intro Pete, welcome to the best place ever for anything A10 and we even manage a bit of humour, whether intentional or not . You were indeed well blessed to have seen that scrap between Mike the bike and Aggo , both 2 of my all time heroes ,Mike came out first for me though, best wishes BobH.
