A10 from Brazil
« on: 04.07. 2013 20:51 »
Hello to everyone!
My project is A10 650cc 1957 but need some help.
Came a question: Golden Flash or Road Rocket.
The numbering the frame is EA7.4384 and the motor is CA10 RR 2713.
Here are some photos. Don t know which model is the tank.
Thank you.
Regards,
Eduardo

G'day Eduado, welcome to the forum.
I really like the look of the black motor/gearbox.
The #'s = '57 Road Rocket. Yours has different hubs like the previous owner tried to RGS ize it. Also fitted with a Kehin carb. The tank I don't know.
My '57 A7SS came from over there in 1990, it's now my A10 cafe.
Cheers

That frame looks very odd. The top tube does not have the central tank fixing or the one for the front of the seat. The detail near the headstock looks different too. I can't see if it has the small flat bridging plate between the downtubes for the steering damper. The rest of the frame looks standard enough so perhaps the bike was in a bad crash and the frame was partially rebuilt. The tank is probably not a BSA item.

Thanks all for the replies and the welcome! *smile*
Muskrat, when you talk RGS refers to Gold Rock Star? The carb I'll trade for Amal.
Scotty, I'm from Rio and I live in Teresopolis, 100 km from Rio de Janeiro. Your country is great!
Fido, thanks for the comments. I believe it is not hard to put the fixture for center bolt of the tank. Which photos you need to see better?
I passed by the numbering, I can identify the model? Some detail in the frame and engine that helps? *????*
The wish is to leave the original as possible ...
