Owens motorcycles, Wrexham
« on: 03.09. 2009 12:12 »
Just noticed they have 5 promising looking pre-unit twin swing arm projects on offer.
They also seem to have a lot of spares
No prices given though.
I've never had any dealings with them myself.

Thought it may be of interest to someone here though.
Cheer,

So that`s where all the projects are!  Nice looking horde of spares too.

That little 250 matchy takes me back to my youth, thrashed one of those about for a while!

Mind you, the suzuki k10 looks better now than when it was new, and, in my opinion, it`s still only fit for burial in a bog many many miles away...        ;D

Hands up if anyone would like a rummage through those parts! Something for everyone I think. However the A10s mostly seem to be missing their footrests except the first one in the restoration bikes. I reckon they are all bitsas as they seem to be a wide mix n' match. Still would make very desirable machines though...

The first one, hardly glanced at it..I'm not really one for big mudguards, and am always distracted by a chrome tank...but it has half width hubs front and rear. You could make something really special out of that.

I went here yesterday to buy a TLS wheel and had a look round
http://www.owensmotorcycles.co.uk/
I don't think I've ever seen so many British bikes together in one place except in a museum. Hundreds of them in various states of repair, the website doesn't do justice to the range of stock. If you're looking for a project it's well worth a look. He knows what they're worth so don't expect any stunning bargains, for instance there was a nice restored A10 for £4,500.
No connection, just a satisfied customer.
