Gearbox oil level plug
« on: 20.07. 2013 16:59 »
Does anyone know what size the head of the gearbox oil level plug is? I can't seem to find a spanner that fits it, and I want to change the gearbox oil.

G'day John.
My plunger is 5/16 BS and the s/a is 3/8 BS.
I'm sure the plunger is original but can't guarantee the s/a is.
Cheers

A set of WW spanners should fit all the nuts and bolts on a BSA. At least a good one that is.
First thing I did when I acquired the A10 was getting myself a set of King Dicks. They fit like a glove. Absolutely happy with them
On some bikejumble however, I got myself dragged into buying a cheap set of WW which are absolute rubbish *angry* In the set of 10, there's only one that fits. The others are either to tight or to loose
Lesson learnt.......€35 down the drain *cry*
