I think you're talking about the Second Law of Turnipdynamics.

Anyway, Brian Cox told me that an electron has a mass that is approximately 1/1836 that of the proton, and the intrinsic angular momentum of the electron is a half-integer value in units of ħ, which he recons means that it is a fermion or some such. The antiparticle of the electron is called the positron which is identical to the electron except that it carries electrical and other charges of the opposite sign. My mate George, down the pub recons that when an electron collides with a positron, both particles are totally annihilated, producing gamma ray photons, and you dont want to be anywhere nearby when that kicks off.

Wait til I see mr Lyons for telling me it's like water in a pipe. Hold on, that was 45 years ago and he must be about 120 years old by now.

Don't believe a thing he says if he's posing on the top of a mountain.
I take your point Andy but think you may be comparing Turnip with Swedes, (no disrespect to any Ethnic group of A10 owners)

In common with the vast majority of people I always think in terms of conventional current flow, positive to negative, rather than electron flow.
I suppose you know that electrons travel from negative to positive.

Hold on a G'damn cotton picking minute. If the Current flows from Pos to Neg, how can electrons go Neg to Pos? When I was at school, I was told to think of an electrical current as water flowing through a pipe so if the electrons are going the wrong way, do they know they are swimming against the tide or what ??  *conf*

The convention of current was established before the theory of electron "flow" was postulated.

Sometimes conventional current is described as the holes between electrons travelling from positive to negative.

Would that be the Higgs bosun bit then TT

Well the thing is there's a couple or so factories in China that make batteries where the holes between the electrons are so big the electrons can't get round them and bugger off after a months or so, I've got a couple in the bottom  shed if you want them
