1947/48 drive side engine plate wanted

I was wondering if anbody has a 1947/48 long stroke A7 drive side engine plate spare like the one in the picture. If so then please let me know via email or PM. Thanks John

Hi Terry,

Yes, lesson learnt, never sell anything as you may need it yourself one day. There must be some more in the UK out there.
I commented in a post recently that there was a 1953 A7 with a 48 engine sold on Ebay last month. A lot of the parts on the bike were from a 1948 rigid including the QD front wheel and forks, rear mudguard, chain guard, front engine plates etc (I had seen it at an autojumble a couple of months before for sale). I was hoping perhaps the new owner was on the forum and wanted to change to the later dynamo. We could exchange plates as I have a later set.

Even though I don't now need one as I sold the 48 project I have got my hands on one via EBay so its going in the stores. The lesson is don't give up looking for a part you need or want, one will turn up in the end. Cheers, John
