Rear Sets
« on: 11.10. 2008 21:42 »
Missed out on some rear sets on e-bay, wondering if anybody on here pipped me & won them?

If not, does anybody know any dimensions etc for the gear lever set up so i could try & get some made?

Im still restoring my `60 Golden Flash Cafe Racer and currently the gear lever is just flipped over.

Any help/info muchly appreciated.

2 pics of current setup (excuse the condition)

Which is exactly how it should be. That is how the factory supplied the machine if you opted for rear sets. The only mod that was done, was inside the gearbox where a reverse cam plate was fitted to retain the one up three down shift sequence.

Thanks for that, I thought something wasn't right about it just being flipped over, after serching various websites I only found the set-up with the upside down U shape gear lever which I didn't really like but was willing to live with to keep true Cafe Racer style.

You have helped me decide to keep the set-up I have got, but will look into the plate you mentioned to keep the 1up 3down.

Thanks again  *smiley4*
