Rear rack
« on: 01.11. 2011 23:40 »
G'day all,

I'm looking for a rear luggage rack for my A10.  Does anyone know where I can get my hands on one?

Cheers,
Dave.

G'Day Dave,

Try http://www.burtonbikebits.net/luggage_racks__grab_rails.htm

I have just had my replica WW2 rack fitted (custom made to fit a '52 A10 not a new Indian version). One of the most expensive things I've done to the bike so far! But it looks great and should make it to the end of my 2500 mile journey without any issues. *smiley4*

Thanks Darren,

I did check that site out a while ago, but I can't see anything there that resembles the ones they had on them when the bike was new.  It's something like that I'm after.  If I get no luck, will try using a mate's workshop and try and make one.

Cheers,
Hubie.

Hi Dave,

Is this the sort of thing you're looking for?  It's a copy of the Craven "W" Rack that was apparantly designed for the A7 and A10.

I have one of them on my Flash and it looks good. I had to make up brackets for it but fairly easily done (an old camping chair provided the material).

Either of those two would do nicely beezageeza & bob, just something to strap stuff onto, or even a craven type top box for those longer trips (bike still has 250 miles to go before re torquing the head!).  Or the one on the haynes manual cover would be great too.

Cheers,
Dave.

is there a picture of this bike with that rack from the other side?  I think I have this rack but if I remember right it interfers with the lift handle...
