Whoa, these brake pedals must be rare. I am also in need of the long brake pedal, spindle type with rod to brake on left.
???? Do any others fit, like from later singles? Thanks....

Its a year since I put out the request for the brake pedal, with no results, saw one on ebay ,bid silly money and still failed. Finally sourced two pedals off very early A10 65-7053, warmed up and re-profiled and it works a treat, if you have one of this type give it a try. I f not I still have one if anybody is interested to buy? I will post a pic of the finished article later. However if you are a purist builder keep looking for an original.   Cheers all Ed *smiley4*

Hi adamand-Ed,
This is the post I was looking for the other day, couldn't find.
I'm wondering where you got that number from, I can't find any reference to it in any A10 files?? or any other 'A', to compare shape

I have a 42-4348 pedal that I think is from aB31/2/3/4, but also looks like a 42-7042/4(late A10/Scrambler), but won't work on the  A10 plunger, so'm trying to source  something that will work, don't care what BSA it's off so long as I don't have to stuff it to make it work.
I just thought if it's from an 'early A10'? and  possible to get a piccie of it, and see if any use to me?? Mine needs a 67-7026, but I may just make one if I can't find one easy.

 Cheers duTch

I never thought I'd get so friggin' involved with part Numbers!!
Started building in about 1977/8 a on average '52 A10 -built from bits 'n pieces never resto intended -maybe 'personalised'
Have a '74 850T Moto Guzzi since '92-best thing I ever bought doesn't need a kickstart 'cos it bump starts sooooooooo(mostly) easy

Thanks Ed,
Now I know how it looks, but I don't think it's any early A10 if it doesn't fit yours, and doesn't look like plunger(?).  Would need radical bending,as does the one I have, which 'looks' closer (but not really), there's a swap meet next week localish so hoping to go for a scrounge.
As I say it doesn't need to be authentic, just BSA or home made and easy !

 Cheers for that    duTch

Dutch,
The brake pedal 42-4348 you have [casting number] is from 1956/7 A & B models.

 Trev.

Trev you're a legend, I must be going cross eyed- saw plate 24 and list and plate 25,but must have either not looked at 25s list, or thought it was page 62 from the later book, (Is that same part- different number?? 42-7042/4?), and yes it's listed in B models as 67-4347 as previously noted.

Thanks again, I'll try and find a plunger one which may or may not fit for my configuration anyway, in mean time trying to fab. one up.
 Cheers duTch

Ps in my goggle/ebay searches, for '...PLUNGER.... Pedal....#.', a listing comes up fro 42-7012 from NSA http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/42-7012-BSA-A7-A10-PLUNGER-up-1955-REAR-BRAKE-PEDAL-FULCRUM-PIN-/370585888105,
I wrote and told them it's 55 Swing arm not Plunger, but anyone feel free to tell me if I'm wrong please??
