hi all thinking of a new ammeter for my 12v flash, do you think i should get a 12v meter cheers mal.

i have been told that a 12v meter will not show a very good reading

An Ammeter doesn't care what volts, 6 or 12. Keep what you have and don't listen to your friends horseshit!

I think the ones for 6 volt read 8-0-8 and the ones for 12 volt read 12-0-12

Shouldn't that be the other way round? Lower voltage needs more amps to do the same work. I'm a 6v guy and my ampmeter goes up to +12 and -12 ;-)
