New member with a question or two

Hey!

I'm glad to find such a resource as this site for BSAs.  I don't own one as yet, but this one caught my eye the other day:

It was gone before I could act on it, but I was very inspired.  I liked the combination of bits with the full width hubs, 2LS front brake, and chrome fenders.  The ad didn't identify it well, indicating it might be a 1966 model (clearly wrong), but what is it exactly?  I'd like to chase down something similar, as I'm about to finish a BMW Airhead project and I'm looking at a long rainy winter without a shop project.

Hello - unless I'm very much mistaken (!) I think you will find that this is indeed a 1966 model - but the infamous BSA A10 lookalike, the Kawasaki W1.

Never mind  - I'm sure you'll unearth an A10 or A7 soon, I hope.

Ah ha!  Here's it's cousin:

The tanks (oil & fuel) seemed off, as did the passenger peg/exhaust hanger.  So much for getting a Rocket Gold Star for beer money.

So did any A7 or A10 come with full-width alloy hubs?
