Hi Olev.
removal of helmets was a big no no for fear of further damaging neck/spine injuries possibly leading to paralysis.
I think that might of changed - don't know for sure what is recommended now .
We had a talk by a paramedic at coronary rehab ( exercise ) and he said to forget all the two breaths mouth to mouth and fifteen chest compressions stuff as most folk shied away from doing anything for fear of getting it wrong.
He said first thing was to phone for help, second was to just pump the chest and keep going until someone arrived, the reasoning being it's better to do something than stand around wondering what the sequence was and in fact pumping the chest does actually assist both the heart to beat and the lungs to work.
Proviso is of course that the person is unconscious lads, also if a lady ask permission first.
