Vale- Andy Hart

Andy was on this list as far as I know but I do not know his avitar.

Some NSW riders will know him so I post this message.
It is with a feeling of sadness that I relay this SMS that arrived on my phone today .

"Just wanted to let you all know that Andy passed away this morning.
Please check SMH for funeral details"
Sharryn.

As members will know Andy had a "going away" party earlier this year that several members attended. He was intending to return to the UK , visit with the rellies one last time and spend some quality time with his wife Sharryn & two daughters. Unfortunately cancer is a remorseless disease and he died some what short of the expected 12 months.

Many of you would not know Andy as he seldom attended meetings in the 2 previous halls and probably only a 1/2 dozen or so in the current club rooms. When we were at his "wake" the reasons became apparent, he was always working and this involved a lot of 24 hour + stints in public health vans, lots of conferences & frequent week end work. He also was a founder of the Rage Tourers ( explains why we got all of those invites ) ran for parliament with the Riders Rights group & was heavily involved with the Motorcycle Council.
He was quite a generous man with both his time & property as several club members past & present have benefited from parts cast off his A10 which he had just finished converting from a chopper back to standard & all club members will benefit from the pergola that he donated to the club. Prior to the new diagnosis he was about to take on the job of Club Registrar.
In the past he has hosted the club to an "on ride" barbie when we were doing a mountains run on at least two occasions .
He had a brilliant mind, wicked sense of humour and sound knowledge of all things BSA.
Both Shane & I have spent many an hour in the car park after meetings in deep conversation with Andy & his presence will be greatly missed.
