Super Rocket - postion of air lever?
« on: 05.08. 2013 21:13 »
Hello everybody,

I have one question related to the original position of air lever at 1960 A10 Super Rocket - my bike has ( for me ) strange position between tank and seat - visible on photo - but it looks like original and I have seen few bikes with similar position of this lever

Thx

I thought that was the U.S. market position & home market had it on the bars as part of the combination brake lever.

Hi Trev,
I think this is an export model ?? separate headlamp ?? almost identical to my brothers 59 SR
I have seen the air lever on the frame on a UK bike tho

Cheers

Hi Poky.
You have nice example.
Yes same position as on my 1960 Super Rocket, and confirmed in Instruction Manual 00-4078.
Enjoy the A10 experience

I've certainly seen a good few here in the uk like that , wasn't it the normal place for Ariels to fix 'em as well ,I had a square 4 back in1966 which had the lever somewear in that area fixed to an SU carb if my memory serves , nice bike, regards BobH.

Thanks to everybody for confirmation - my bike was build in 1959 or 1960 ( but as a model 1960) for export and was presented by BSA at International Industry Trade Fair at Brno ( Czechoslovakia ) in June 1960.
