No its a "B". I've just finished my latest resto so thought as its a BSA it might interest someone. Its a 47' B31. I havent been for a proper ride yet as I dont get any time off work until Wednesday so that will be its first run.

The other one is another plunger A10. Its a mix of 51' and 52' plus some of my own bits, well it will be when its finished. This one is not meant to be a proper resto, I'm building it to incorporate a few minor mods and styled how I would like it. Nothing special motor wise, 356 cam with 7.25-1 pistons. When this one is finished I will track down and fit a few bits to my other plunger A10 to make it more original. After that there is the rigid A10 to do, too many bikes and definitely not enough time (or money!)

Your usual perfect standard shines through once again Brian! Congratulations and well done on a magnificent job done. Looks like the B31 is also a sod of a job to pull onto centre stand, I'm surprised BSA still put the pulling loop on the back as its not a lot of use without the rear stand. Nice brass carby do I see?

Well spotted LJ, it is a brass one. Its not the correct carby for the bike being a pre-war type but it runs well with it on and as yet I havent been able to find the correct one. Getting it onto the stand is not too bad but it does require a fair amount of effort.

Markus you really should get a B33. I have a 49' plunger one and its a terrific bike. You know the old saying about if your shed caught fire which bike would you save?, well there is no decision for me, it would be the B33 (sorry A's). They are build like sherman tanks and are really great to ride. The M's are good too, just not quite as much go.

Brian, I think the brass carb looks great on the bike, suits the old-fashioned styling of the rigid frame perfectly well, so if you don't bother about originality too much, you could simply leave it on.

Gotta finish the Matchy first, but who knows, maybe a nice B-model looking for a new home might come along some day...

Great job Brian as always. You amaze me how you keep spittin these bikes out. I too am a fan of the single BSA especially the B33 as you mentioned. Im in the process of putting a B33 engine into a plunger where a B31 used to be. It should be back on the road again soon, I cant wait.
