What Threads?
«

What threads should the cycle parts be? Are they all 26tpi BSCy. I have different ones but this is only to be expected on a bike this age. I have alot of Whiteworth threads.
Thanks
Stuart

Original cycle parts were indeed BSC 26tpi. Tappings in the aluminium are Whitworth.

look up <http://stainlessbits.com/link12.html> on the web.
There is a complete listing of all BSA / Triumph threads by part number.

Be very carefull with the listing, it is extremely helpful, but I have found one listed thread in that to be wrong, the tank badge screw was listed as a BA thread, when it was a BSW.
Lsited as 5BA when it was infact 1/8 BSW
