DVR2 reg
« on: 18.11. 2024 17:52 »
Does the excellent DVR2 reg have a lower battery voltage level, below which it will not charge?
Would would this voltage be?
Thanks.

I don't think so (I have a DVR2 on my bike) but if the battery is very flat or its had it it may have a very high internal resistance which could confuse the DVR.

i have mentioned before that my dvr2 didn't like a 12volt 3amp hour battery and failed. i don't know why but the replacement is still happy with a 12 v 7 amp hour

Hi Rex,
Basically No, they will charge a flat battery, although I have not and would not do it intentionally
They will also run the lights etc without a battery connected (lights will be dim at low revs)
