Alloy petrol tanks
« on: 04.06. 2024 00:25 »
There's a guy advertising alloy tanks for A10s. Anyone had any dealings with him and if so what are they like as my own tank the chrome is knackered. If I go down the refurb route I think it will be a lot of pennies.

I’d want some providence that it’s not an Indian manufactured tank.  I’m on a few forums with my diff older bikes & im yet to hear anything good. I did hear there was a UK chap whom had some that he’d vetted though. Reality is I doubt any alloy tank isn’t from India

I've seen some made in the USA, can't recall the name. Quality was looked grate but prices were high.  My other worry would be shipping, one dent and all the money is wasted.  Have you tried getting one made in the UK?  I ask because many years ago I needed a tank for a rare car and getting one made in ally was not as prohibitively expensive as I expected.
These look nice, start saving!

They look reasonable and well made.  Worth a visit to check them out.
