I have not fitted anything like this to my bike, but I do have a 69-70 TLS anchor plate laying around somewhere.
I am not a huge fan of the look, and I dont really want to butcher up a good one by turning the flange off of it. Probably why I have not done this.
What I dont understand is why you would build up the alloy plate, and not just the much easier torque tongue on the slider?
I guess my thinking is the alloy slot was plenty strong enough before, if you extend the steel tongue to the same depth as it originally was, the plate has the same strength as original. Right?
I dont understand.
