Used to deliver newspapers on a Yamaha YB100 when my family owned a rural newsagency back in the 80s.  On one farm, I had to hold the paper in my hand when I rode up to shove it in the pipe at the end of the driveway.  The reason, as soon as their Jack Russell heard the bike, it'd fly out of the drive and try to bite my leg.  I was always a bit ahead of it, but on one occasion it managed to grab the bottom of my jeans, I accelerated as I shook it off, and watched in the mirror as it cartwheeled a**e over t*t down the road.  When it stopped doing somersaults, it got back on its legs and continued the chase.  Determined dog that hated bikes.

I had a Jack Russell go under the footpeg while riding through the local sink estate. Probably hurt him too, but not as much as if my Docs had caught him under the ear'ole first.

jack russell , now there's a memory, i had one clamped to my ankle when i called for a school mate when i was 15 years old , bloody thing wouldn't let go and i couldn't kick it's head in or strangle it while it's owner my mates mum was saying -- now come here you naughty boy come back inside -- let go come here. after it had ripped the back of my leg to pieces and holed my jeans it let go and i was able to limp away. my mate wasn't in and i got no response from it's owner as i went down the drive.

Might have gone back to teach it 'the error of its ways' - with a hatchet in hand, of course. *angry* *angry*
