Horn Mounting Bracket
« on: 12.12. 2023 20:10 »
I am the process of restoring a 1958 A10 Golden Flash and am struggling with the horn mounting arrangement within the nacelle. Does anyone have the part number of the bracket which supports the horn or can anyone sent me a photo?
Thanks in advance.
Peter

The bracket is made of a number of leaves attached tp a bracket which bolts to the bottom yoke.

The photos, taken some years back show the parts. It was often discarded as fractured or because the horn failed and was replaced by one with different mounting. The assembly screws are my fitting. The brackets were a Lucas part.

This is from the 1959 Lucas BSA catalogue - the original horn was HF1441, part of the bracket is just visible behind the horn.

Peter, There are two small spacers about 8 or 9mm in depth which go between the bracket and the yoke. I will find a picture if I am lucky.

Col, Those spacers were not fitted to 1958 bikes.

Thanks Trev for sorting me out on that. Is that because of the cowl?

No cowl, Col, same as yours, a nacelle but no spacers.
