P47 Supercharger again

Republic used turbochargers to give the P-47 extra boost at higher altitudes, above 20,000ft where the R-2800 started to struggle in the thinner air. Technically, it's a turbo-supercharger, pressure from the exhaust gases spin the turbo which in turn spins the mechanical supercharger. It's actually a bit more complicated but that is, in essence, how the system works.
