The modern car with adaptive cruise control and lane keep assistance makes long distance motorway driving easy. After driving to my daughter in Cornwall, 300 miles, I get out still fresh.

For me, adaptive cruise control is how much I twist the throttle or stamp on the accelerator.  'Lane keep' is down to normal driving and avoiding falling asleep.  If I'm knackered when I get to the end of the journey, a few pints and a lie down works well! *whistle* *dunno2*

GB my dear old man died down in cornwall in1983 from that date EVERY time I cross the devon /cornwall border it pisses down and I mean biblical ! I spent 2 weeks down there on job training ,at the group intro ,so beloved by trainers , I mentioned that the rain that had started the night before as Iarrived , was down to me and that their tourist boad could contact me with regards staying out of cornwall for a long time (for suitable remuneration ) everybody thought this was just a poor joke the next day that little village was completely flooded and it didn't stop raining til friday crossing the border on Bodmin on the sunday night crossing the river at saltash  it started again and didn't stop til I rec'd a better job offer and left on the thursday . Point of story ,you only got to your Daughters fresh and relaxed because I wasn't in Cornwall ! so in future when visiting check my movements and post £50 in a brown envelope Ist class to yours truly !
