September 20th 1958; K.R. Sturt(Rolls-Royce test pilot) was at the RAF Syerston air show in the prototype Avro Vulcan VX770 performing a high-speed flyby, when upon exiting show center, the Vulcan's right wing leading edge failed, and instantly disintegrated. The prototype immediately spirals out of control and impacts the surface, killing the entire aircrew and 3 people on the ground.
