G'day Fellas.
A while back I joined a Facebook group Just Beezas. I've seen a few Forum members over there. Quite a friendly group and some great stories. It's a private group so you have to join to see posts, the general public can't see anything.
I've put a link to this Forum on the group. If you'd like to have a look https://www.facebook.com/groups/176982039427770

Musky, you're starting a 'white-ant' movement here!
Another forum I'm on is in real trouble because some (loudmouth) people put up their farcebook pages and expect forum members to go there, but they have a perfectly good forum already. It's just splitting the group.

Please understand that many of us will not go to or use Farcebook for ethical reasons. WE are not concerned with marketing or promotion or data mining. We are just a group of good blokes getting together on a great web Forum sharing our expertise etc. WE are not a closed group like the farcebook setup.

We have an excellent, brilliant Forum right here, why risk splitting us by promoting that farcebook stuff here? (I'm trying very hard not to use more 'strenuous' language!!)
Sure, it's a free country, if you want to do it, that's just fine. But please don't get on here encouraging us to go elsewhere.

G'day Jools.
I see your point.
There are a few Forum members already on that FB group. Then there are Forum members on other forums.
It's all about gathering more info or interesting stories. I was surprised how many A7-10's I've seen on there and not here.
I know some avoid FB like the plague, I and a lot of people don't.
We do have a Members Only section.
Cheers

The majority of interesting pictures that I post here come from the various FB groups I'm on. The Interweb is a window on the World as far as I'm concerned. Collection of 'Big Data' doesn't worry me.
Here are all of the non-family-related groups I'm on:

G'day GB.
You beat me. I'm in 25 groups, most are motorcycle related and private.

I will die before I ever join any Feaces Book group
And hile Joe Public has to be a member to see the page, every word, photo email address phone numbers is being minned
Now the mining is for the benefit of the internet advertisers that is way too much sensitive data out there .
Add to that tracking and you may as well leave all your posession on the fiitpath with a "please take me " sign.
And the cops hate them because professional thieves get on these groups organize thieft and there is no link between them & the crimes as it is not hard to fake a  Face Ache membership .
