Quick update, the barrels and pistons etc are all good, it bound up on the timing side bush only, everything else seems good.
Full roller conversion for next year.

Hi guys, yes it’s been a while. We rebuilt the bottom end with a near new crank, went 0.010 on the big ends and minimum on the timing side (maybe 0.001). The crank case timing side was line bore, then a new bush to suit the crank case and crank shaft was made, so interference fit for the case and I settled on 0.002 for the crank shaft, there is a hell of a lot more to the bottom end, but that’s another story.A new design cam (not too sure on that just yet).
Many, many changes, but mostly engine, and gearing stuff.
So we start out with a 5 man crew (4last time and down to 2, but COVID times then), and we get to 3 man team just 1 day from departure.
So we get to the salt and there’s a truck bogged to the diffs on the entry , not a good look.
Sundays race briefing was not so good, our short track was cut from, 2 mile run up to 1 and 1 timed mile, plus an additional timed 1/4 mile for reference, and then 1/4 mile to stop. I won’t go on about the rest of the restrictions.
Monday we ran a 110.558mph first run (111.166 on the flying 1/4 mile), dropping our jetting by 1 size for run 2 and we lost 3mph, then we went up on the jetting, but the rain stopped everything for the day and the next 2 days.
So the bikes engine is awesome, but we pulled out, mainly because the salt condition was so bad, read wet and slushy, I had a huge wheel spin in 3rd as the cam came in and the lake wasn’t going to get too much better.
Other team had some successes, but overall times were down.
Many more changes are already underway, mostly how to make a +6 foot guy aerodynamic LOL

G'day Beeza.
All a learning curve. Did well mate.
I remember the first two years I raced it was a competition between me and Maurine (1927 Rudge) to see who came last!
Did you run last year?
Cheers
