Interesting reading.
A good rider periodically checks all nuts and bolts with a spanner to see that they are tight - Instruction Manual for BSA B series, p46, para 2.

And One on the Monobloc Carburettor. This is from an Australian Magazine "Practical Motorist & Motor Cyclist" of August 1958. This magazine seems to use articles from the UK magazine of the same name.
I found a stack of these at my local antique shop and what useful rags they were.
There were about 12 carburettor articles altogether. I'll see if I can find some of the others.
