Hi All
I found this pic a while ago on FB, It has been very helpful showing details that otherwise would be hidden by the mudguards.  This is the same model Chater Lea that I have been restoring for far too long a time  *sad2*
It is also amazing that I have made contacts with several owners through FB that otherwise would not have been found, Its a very small CL World out there  *ex*

John
P.s I dont think I would be able to cope with those handlebars *warn*

Can we see some pictures of your CL please. Also, do you have an official CL sweater like that?

Considering the monogram on the sweater, wondering if he was a factory rider or if they had merch.

Hi GB and All,
Not much to show photo wise, A lot of the rest of the parts are ready to go but until I get the new fork bottom yoke casting machined and the stem fitted I cannot get the front end together
I have a new exhaust pipe ready but must get it nickel plated, and the new silencer casting machined
A friend found the attached B&W pic of when it was discovered..
The early type fork yokes broke like the one in the pic (welded)

I love the lighting generator 👌

In the period photo, the exhaust pipe looks big bore. What capacity is the engine?

Comparing wheels, it looks like your project bike has beaded edge tyres, whereas the bike in the period photo has well-rim tyres. Is your bike older?

Hi GB
They are both beaded edge, just different pattern rims, (I had not noticed this)
Search for "Westwood" pattern BE rims
