Half links maybe OK for lawnmowers, but never use on a motorcycle that's over 10bhp or it'll let you down. Have known them break.

I can't see how you could get 107.5 links, it's either 107 or 108.
BSA used cranked links from new.

Never had a problem with a half link. Riding on salty roads is what kills chains. Cleaning after every trip is required.

Thank you for this information on the chain Greybeard,  I  was wondering if the fined brake drums were the same width on the 500cc and 350cc gold stars. I do not think that they were ever fitted to the A10's. But they still had 42 toothed sprockets . This seems to be the standard  number of teeth for brake drums.
