Width of / distance between pinstripes on tank?

The subject line says it all.  I'm at that stage of the game. 
I used an etcher to trace the painted outlines.  Then, vinyl electricians tape with the help of a gentle heat gun makes perfect masking curves. 
Crankshaft at the machine shop.  Con rod nuts in the mail.  Coming together.

I can't help with the exact measurement but had a look at a few pictures. You might be able to figure it out. I didn't think they were that far apart.

I cant remember just who it was who posted these pictures & measurements on this forum years ago?
(I'm not sure if the RIGID & PLUNGER tanks are the same?)
So..  I saved them just for you..      
measurements:
1. 4-1/8"
2. 2"
3. 1-1/2"
4. 7/8"
5. 2-3/8"
6. 1-5/8"
7. 2-5/8"
8. 1"
9. 3-3/8"
10. 1-1/4"  (to edge of tank just below the bracket)
11. 4-1/8"

1, 2, and 6 are along a line from the filler cap bung to the center of the badge

So, to be more specific, . . . .
I need someone to go to their tank with a measuring device and measure
     -the width of the wide gold stripe next to the chrome.
     -then the painted space between the the pinstripes.
     -then the width of the thin gold stripe which borders the big painted areas.

Just to add a bit more confusion dont forget that these tanks were painted by hand, so no two will be exactly the same. Different guys doing the pinstriping on different shifts etc.

Good Grief !!  When I was in the movie biz I was a lighting director, not a graphic designer. I don't make those decisions well.    I'd draw a sci-fi flying saucer and it would end up looking like a bloated Scottish curling stone.
Let's make this simple.  One of you has the best looking tank anyone has ever seen.  (You know who you are.  Don't be shy. ) 
The numbers are going to be something like 1/2"  -  1/2"  -  1/4"   Right?   
I expected Swarfy to come back with the numbers within .0015".
You can put a brown paper bag over your head when you send it so we don't know who you are.

It does not matter what size & separation you use some one will come along & tell you it is wrong
So get your copy of photoshop running drop a photo of you tank into it and paint it on screen
When you get a combination that makes your eyes water with joy transfer it to the tank
I have seen a lot of unrestored tanks in my time and the pin lining was different on just about all of them
Some the lining was adjacent to the colour panel, some overlapped the joint some were on the inside
As already mentioned they were hand painted with a pinlining brush so no 2 would have been identical
OTOH HD ( and some other factories ) used a roller so theirs would be identical
Also if you look close the width of both the lines & the separation vary even on an individual tank

Yes.  Wise and enlightened advice. 
I tend to get hung up on the 'right way' to do vehicle and motorcycle restoration.  I'll do something that pleases my eye.
I got into this when making a replica of a military sidecar for an M20.  I soon discovered that there was no correct design.  Local coachworks did work for local regiments.
Sometime I forget the lessons learned. 
I'll post a photo when done.

 Brandis. Alas on this aspect of the marque I am completely at a loss. Time for those with a finer grasp on the ethos of true perfection to take the stand.

 I'm fine with oil, grease, bent metal and the usual rough stuff. Final finish is expensive, so I just don't bother.

 For those other UK members of a like mind, (you know, the Hammerite Direct to Rust Brigade) I've switched to Granville Smooth Metal Paint. This is white spirit based, with a slower flash off time than Smoothrite. It covers well and brushes clean up far easier than the Xylene based brand leader that we have used for years. Smooth black on a frame looks like a powder coated finish. Works well on vehicle underframe, chassis and suspension parts.

 Additional. Nulon brand in the UK appears on hand lotion. PC factions would not allow a product to be marketed as "Start Yer Bastard" here, even tho' that's what we think with that reluctant mower, outboard or bike.
