Hello everyone .
Well after many years , i thought it time i purchased a classic bike to go with my classic car (1959 MGA) and collection of "modern" bikes (99 R1, BUELL Thunderbolt , KTM 990 adventure , KTM 300exc and my favourite , the 1984 C90 CUB . So hello and welcome to my 1949 A7 longstroke .What a find .First custodian 1949-2011 (Taken off the road in 1958 and left in a shed) , 2nd custodian restored 2011-2022 and now me . 14311 miles from new .
Going to be honest here , and say what a learning curve ! Who would have thought going back in time would cause me so many headaches ! Absolutely love the bike , but its like learning to ride all over again . Left foot braking (what brakes?), right foot gear change , up, down , this oil , that oil etc etc .........but you know what im loving it . Ill need help for sure , but with groups like this and BSA owners and clubs and manuals that i have already met and read , i am sure i will survive all the headaches that will come !
Thanks for accepting me in the group and i promise not to ask too many questions ......Now these non existent brakes......?
