valve spring bottom seat

On the A7,  why is it such a tight fit around the valve guide?   Even after heating.   I fear I will drive the valve guide out of the head. 
Can I hone out the center hole?    I mean, where is it going to go with 2 springs holding it down?

Sorry.  I was hoping to give you guys the weekend off but, as with Ghostbusters, 'who ya gonna call' ?

G'day Brandis.
They should be a snug fit (push on by hand). As you say they will be held down by the springs. You won't push the guide out as it's installed from the same side. BUT why is it tight? Possible after market guides or cup. Don't force it on as it could shrink the guide and grab a valve. I can't see a problem if you take a tad out of the cups ID.

Usual cause is when a valve guide with oversize OD has been fitted. If necessary, ease out the hole in the collar. No big deal.
