Brandis leave the banjo bolts alone, whooops too late, you might get so much oil up there it could cause burning oil problems. a chap who answer questions in classic bike mag in the 1980's told me to leave them alone when i had thoughts of doing the same

Berger.   My engine, XA7 280, had to be completely dis-assembled at 12K miles.  Based on the reputation of the first 500, I assume it was lubrication.  I found it dis-assembled right down to valve guide removal.  Lubrication has to be pretty shitty to lose your valve guides at that mileage.  I believe those banjo bolts can be had these days so if I've screwed up, I'll get a new set.
It's all an adventure.

Swarfy, there are two length generator chains, from memory, 48 links for 11 tooth and 52 for 13 tooth.
If I find different i will edit.
