Oooh but what if the kids need new shoes as well?
There's food for thought eh?

Lucky I don't have any but if I did then they could go barefoot on the uphill 5 mile walk to school in the snow like our grandparents apparently did, small sacrifice for them to make so I can buy my parts

I'd forgotten about the JRC option, I know one person with one fitted to their A10 and they are happy with it

Hi All
I'm sure I posted the jet sizes etc in a previous post? maybe do a search,
If I think of it tomorrow, I'll have a look, I know I have them written down

Well mate, I suppose you're right... If I fix the bike up I'll be able to tie a rope from the SR to the cardboard box that I keep the kids in and drag it up the hill to the school. -That's a plan eh?

re JRC carbs, there is a leaflet that comes with it that tells you how to tune it, i keep loads of jets  and some different needles, dont use them very often its normally a matter of getting the main and pilot jets right.

Another vote for JRC carb, runs fine on my Super Rocket, no more tickling.

I got the 30mm JRC carb for my SR. It's beautifully made and finished. I just checked it, bolted it on, and connected up the lines, and it started right up 2nd kick, and after about 10 seconds tweaking of the pilot and throttle screws it settled down to a beautiful smooth steady tickover. It's never sounded so good. Yes, I've yet to get it out on the road, but it's looking pretty damn good at this stage. I stopped and started it lots of times and it kept starting first kick and settled in to the lovely smooth tickover every time.
