Just a moan
« on: 03.06. 2022 03:59 »
Got ready to go out to a local pub with a band on tonight, got the A10 out started first kick, put helmet and gloves on, rolled it back off the drive onto the road pulled the clutch and poing! Bloody cable snapped. Put it back in the garage and fired up the Mille. Great night despite the last minute change of plan.

Both fantastic in very very different ways. Every year for the past 5 I think of swapping it for a Speed triple but haven’t managed to part with it yet, it is massive fun.
BTW anyone know the part number for the correct clutch cable for a 52 plunger??

Be a bit wary about a Speed Triple, my kid had too many problems with his.

Was it an earlyish one?
Sprag clutch problems by any chance?

It was an '09, so early-ish. It was the Ignition/computer that gave grief, then he got a suss replacement, and it was pretty awkward to work on.
At the time lots of the units were dying so replacements were hard to find and pricey.

Not heard of ECU issues with them before, but not really looked into it too deeply either, just fancied one as a more comfortable alternative to the Mille now I’m officially old n ancient.
