Not sure if I'm looking at the right file here but it appears  that the 1947 to 1950 document is the owners manual rather than the service sheets. I am looking for information about rebuilding the bottom end. I do have the service sheets and parts book somewhere but can't find them.

Fixed the pdf title.

That seems to be for the shortstroke engine.

fido That is the best you'll get. The service sheet does indeed deal with the later engine, but there are references in there specific to the early Longstroke motor.  The main difference for practical purposes concerns the cam followers, cylinder head design and valve gear. Everything else is the same.

Shimming for end float might be different on the longstroke due to the use of a ballrace on the driveside main.
