Running and sorted..
« on: 03.07. 2021 17:13 »
Hey y'all,
Finally got around to finishing off the last couple of bits so I could test ride it today.
Here's a link to it running before I put the tank and seat back on
https://youtu.be/zlZkL-fxAT8
I've taken it around the block a couple of times to just see how it feels, and I'm proper chuffed. Seems to have way more go than it did, it's not missed a beat, it's dead easy to start ( though it does need a proper MAN's kick now it's got a bit more compression) and as a Brucey Bonus I can't see any oil leaks. ..yet. Wehey!
Just need to sort out the woeful front brake and those bloody clanking forks!
Engine-wise, couldn't be more pleased

sounds sweet, looks really pretty, fingers crossed she shakes down nicely when you can get a few miles on her. Well done to thee!

Cheers Bill,
Might try to put some more miles on it tomorrow if the rain hangs off a bit

  • Last had an A10 in 1976, in 2011 it was time for my 2nd one. It was the project from HELL (but I learned a lot....)

Great vid, sounds very nice (but the leaks will probably come!).

I don’t think I can start mine in trainers so it must be an easy starter 😏

They're special biking Kevlar trainers, but first kick starting is both a novelty and a blessing.

Managed (garage time as it's been biblical rain here all day) to sort out the massive clanking on the front end every time I rode over anything thicker than a fag paper. But I'll explain in the appropriate section...
