Perfection Carburettor

This carby came in a box of parts over thirty years ago.
I have never been able to find any information on it, not even on the net.
I am hoping that at least one of you fine gentlemen or ladies will know all about it.

Might be off an old 2 stroke putt putt marine engine ie: Chapman etc.

That is a veteran era Schebler carb used on car and stationary engines
There should be some letters / numbers cast in on the hexagon part with the female thread ?

I was told once that terms such as, 'a three speed gearbox' dates to very early vehicles, when engine revolutions remained constant and the gears gave the vehicle different speeds. That carburetor would appear to have a fairly limited throttle mechanism, hence why I suggested a stationary engine but I guess the same design may have been used for a road-going engine.

The butterfly throttle valve can be seen just inside the threaded stub
Now I can see perfection lettering in the photo, I am a bit puzzled, I bought a veteran Schebler that looks identical for a friends veteran car a few months ago

The carby came from a deceased estate. The owner was the proprietor of a well known motorcycle business in Maitland, N.S.W.
I will have a good look for numbers.
Initially I thought it looked similar to the carbys fitted to early Harleys, Schebler as John says.
