Centre Stand
« on: 22.08. 2020 15:04 »
Hi Everybody,

The pivot eyes on my centre stand are fitted with grease nipples (1958 A7).  Should they be there or have they been added over the years?  Couldn't find any shown on the frame diagrams.  Reason for the question is that the stops are badly worn and need welding up to stop the centre stand lever (which isn't bent) bashing the silencer.  The grease nipples are in the way.

Regards to all.

my '56 (different design to yours) has a single grease nipple in the middle, but I've put a plug in it after greasing the shaft, figuring that I'll probably only ever regrease it after a year or two on the road.....
