Hi All,
A collection of Irish motorsport  photos from the early 50's containing quite a few motorcycles including this BSA
(longstroke?) has been put up online by Mark Healy whose Father took the photos

That's great! If I ever get to rebuild my A10, this is something to think about.
The primary oil cap, seems like an iron thing with square nut, nice artifact.

somewhere in my spares I'm sure I've seen an alloy plug like this, has a raised hex centre. I'm in the early throes of unpacking so wont be able to find it...

A good rider periodically checks all nuts and bolts with a spanner to see that they are tight - Instruction Manual for BSA B series, p46, para 2.
