Wanted plunger rear sprocket
« on: 10.02. 2020 01:57 »
Has anyone got a decent rear solo (42 teeth) sprocket/drum for a 52 plunger?
Just bought a new one from a company on eBay which fell apart as I tried to install the bearing. Glad it didn't fail while riding!!!

you have to be careful with some of these pattern parts, I had one that the proper bearing was never going to fit it had to have a couple of thou skimmed out to get it to the same size as a bsa original

I'm happy with the one I bought a couple of years ago from C&D Autos.

Hi Minto,
I still have a 42 tooth sprocket (brand new) plus new bearing already in and a brand new chain (un used) all left over from my plunger rebuild.  The sprocket was purchased from Velocette so British (I think). See pics. I'm located in the Midlands.  PM for price if interested.
Cheers RR
