I'm wondering where this oil pipe went from the gearbox. Mine is crimped and closed.
I can't find a reference to it in the service manual

Hello Dave,
Welcome to the Forum. Definitely the speedo drive. Presumably the PO (previous owner) crimped it to stop the oil running out of the box.

Hiya Dave- that's definitely a oil-driven wireless speedo drive, a fairly rare item, cherish it....

Started building in about 1977/8 a on average '52 A10 -built from bits 'n pieces never resto intended -maybe 'personalised'
Have a '74 850T Moto Guzzi since '92-best thing I ever bought doesn't need a kickstart 'cos it bump starts sooooooooo(mostly) easy
