Recent Stafford Bike Show
« on: 20.07. 2009 13:25 »
SRM posted pictures from the recent Stafford show (a little far away for me to make it). The picture below really amused me, being an overhead cam arrangement for an A10.

That`s a very interesting picture, but what does puzzle me is the one shiny and one black exhaust pipe. Or is it a triple, with the black one being the middle one  ????

OK. I guess it is a triple, based on this other photo, but I don't know how they got it together like a pre-unit A10. It's a curiosity piece. Perhaps someone here has the answer.

now that's an interesting bike, I am quite impressed with the effort they can put toward bizarre and creative projects.

which brought me to look at their page,

and in doing so realized that they are looking to hire a new mechanic!!!

how do I manage to move halfway across the world to europe, but miss the golden opportunity by a measly few hundred kilometers!!!   *doh*

man, I hope I can find a shop in need in Lisbon, that would just be the icing on the cake for me!!!

Hi All,
Looking closely at the pic, it seems to me that its basically a Trident /Rocket3 engine in a featherbed frame!
They then stuck a modified A7/10 timing case on the outside, to run an alternator?? behind the cylinders,
and to bring out the drive to the OHC's ??????
Does anyone have more photos or a link to any website?????

By the way theres a slide show on SRM's website on the stripdown of a A10 Spitfire scrambler,
It would be of interest to all, especially those group members whoare  new and non technically minded regarding
A series BSA's
