Good threading taps and dies

Is there still a maker of good CEI and Whitworth taps?
I have a few very poor quality ones that have gotten me by, but I would like some good ones.
Matter of fact, my last (out of 3) 1/4 inch tap had to be removed with a carbide burr.

depends if you want HSS or carbon, but I think there is a firm in yankyland based in new York that does CEI etc called british tools and fasteners , but if you want to import from good old {well used to be} gt Britain you need TRACY TOOLS

I got a set (1/4 -5/8) from Tracy Tools over 30 years ago. Only broken one tap and lost one die.
Cheers

In Britain we're lucky because flea market etc still occasionally yield Presto tap and die sets for silly money. A few years ago I bought a full unused set containing BSC left and right handed for £30 ex WD still with the oil paper wrapping. For metric and other taps and dies Tracy tools takes some beating.
