My 1959 A10 Golden Flash For Sale
« on: 17.05. 2018 20:42 »
OK Gents, I'm having to accept that since I smashed my kicking leg up 18 months ago, I just can't handle kicking over my bike regularly. So I'm selling up. This hurts more than my leg!!

It's a really beautiful example. I took it to the Calne bike show two years ago and I felt it was the best A10 there.

It's had the dynamo rebuilt (2016) and has the Thorspark electronic ignition system fitted.

It was my step father in law's bike. So it'll be a shame for it to leave the family.

I can supply any information needed and give a completely honest account of everything I know about this bike. It's a good bike.

Pictures attached hopefully!

I'm advertising it for £5750 but will take sensible offers. This bike needs to be ridden regularly and appreciated. I'd like to see it go to a good home.

Cheers gents!

Sam

Sorry to hear your tales of woe, that looks like a wonderful machine. I am hoping you find a good adopter and you get visitation rights.  (For the good of the child of course). *smiley4*

G'day Sam.
Sorry to hear this, have you thought about an electric leg. I know their not cheap but you would still be able to ride.
I remember 3 years ago when you joined how happy you were to have the bike stay in the family. How about brothers, sisters, kids, nephews etc?
If not best of luck with the sale, just vet the purchasers, we don't want to see it broken down for parts $$$.
Cheers

I've only just read this post. Sad times. Totally agree with Muskrat's sentiments. Wish I could afford it.
Best of luck. C.

Black Flash - I love them , my first Flash (back in the day) was black, always bought praise when folks were around.
Now I'm in a similar position to Sam, one of them has to go, the gold one when I get the front mudguard painted yet again (don't ask), will still have the Red version to faf about on and with tho, yes Sam I though of asking 5 grand but my mate reckoned I should ask 6 (you can come down, you can't go up tho), I reckon yours looks good enough to ask 6 - good luck with it
All the best - Bill
1961 Flash - stock, reliable, steady, fantastic for shopping
1959 Rocket Gold Flash - blinged and tarted up  would have seizure if taken to  Tesco

Sorry mate - sold!

Gutting, but went to a lovely bloke who's since messaged saying how pleased he is. Like I said: It's a good bike.

Main thing: it's not being broken.

Thanks for all the messages of support gents - its been... emotional!
