Thanks Gb , strange I'd forgotten they had a brh in Whitechapel was closed by the time I worked for them although I think the sign was still there . More famous to anyone who liked the merseybeat era is the shop to the right "Rushworths " sold guitars ,drums etc ,had 5 floors with music booths ,record sales ,sheet music, record players etc ,they were within 300 yds of the Cavern so all of the groups bought there gear and were next door to NEMs owned by a certain Brian Epstein . finally they presented George Harrison and John Lennon with specially ordered Gibson guitars in about 1964.
