Buy the kickstart folding bit
« on: 18.12. 2017 10:51 »
Does anyone know whether (and where from) you can buy the folding bit at the end of the kickstart? I can so far only find people selling the whole thing. In my case the main thing is perfectly all right, I just need the folding bit at the end (plus the spring or whatever else it has to make the mechanism work). Does anyone know if I can buy this anywhere?

Thanks - Rowan

G'day Rowan.
Is yours the original spring clip type or the later ball & spring type?

Hi Rowan,
If you still need the kickstart pedal, I may have the early BSA type where its held by a spring clip

Is yours the original spring clip type or the later ball & spring type?
Can you explain the differences between the two? How do I tell from the main part of the crank which type I've got? If anyone has some pictures that would help me work out which type I've got.

Many thanks - Rowan

Crank lever with spring and ball has a hole drilled into the rear to accept them. Clip type is plain on rear.
