Trying to remove 6 spring clutch hub centre.

Threads are stripped on it rendering the factory removal tool useless.

Any hints or tips for removal ?

Thanks

If it's the type that sits on a taper, the only thing that will work is a big enough bearing puller. You may need to loosen the primary inner case to get enough clearance.

Thanks morris I'll give that some thought.

Haynes manual (FWIW) says in absence of the service tool one can whale on it with a hammer and brass drift to loosen the fit on the taper.

Not really seeing that one  *eek*

I'll check out pullers tomorrow
